A True Story
I was painting my bathroom. I opened the window and worked for a long time, then closed it back and went to the kitchen to prepare supper. My family and I ate and cleaned up the dishes and puttered around for a while. Then I decided to paint some more, hoping to finish that evening. I was doing very low places and had to sit on the floor. Needless to say, I soon became very warm again and told myself I needed to reopen the window before I was totally overcome with the heat. I stood up and took a deep breath. Standing about six feet from the window, I looked at it and thought again about opening it. But I never got to do it - because at that very moment, it opened itself! As I stood there, simply looking at it and thinking I needed some air, it literally opened by itself. I wasn't at all frightened. In fact, I felt a sudden sense of joy as the first thought that ran through my mind was that God knew I needed that air and sent an angel to open the window for me. Maybe He thought I was being too slow about doing it myself!
